New plug-in allows photographers to send large photo files quickly and easily within Aperture
January 9, 2007 - , Mountain View, Calif. - YouSendIt, Inc., the leader in file delivery for business,
today announced its Export Plug-In for Apple® Aperture™, the all-in-one post production tool for
photographers developed by Apple Computer. The YouSendIt Export Plug-In for Aperture is the first to allow photographers to send photos directly from
within the application. Photographers can now enjoy an end-to-end workflow from importing photos through
the selection and enhancement process to image delivery via email.
“Creative professionals need to send large files directly from within their workflow application,” said Ivan Koon, CEO of YouSendIt. “YouSendIt takes the pain out of delivering large photos by being directly plugged into Aperture, the digital photo management tool used by more and more professionals.” Aperture has been adopted by some of the world’s finest professional photographers. Its latest version, Aperture 1.5, includes many new features, including the ability for developers to build plug-ins for the application.
The YouSendIt plug-in allows registered users to send multiple photos to multiple email addresses, add comments, and select file size and file type before sending, from within the plug-in. Once sent, the files can be tracked on YouSendIt’s website.
YouSendIt will launch the Aperture Export Plug-in at MacWorld San Francisco, January 9 – 12, 2007 and will provide free upgrades to business accounts to all visitors. The plug-in will be available as a free download from www.yousendit.com.
