Experiencing its two best quarters in the history of the company this year, YouSendIt now has more than 100,000 paid subscribers and completes more than 10,000 new pay-per-use transactions per month. The Institute needed to send large files—such as data from clinical trials of potential new therapies, research data and manuscripts, protocols, and digital imaging files—to collaborators both within and outside the Institute, as well as government agencies and institutional review panels. All of this data had to be sent back and forth quickly, reliably, and— most important—securely.
